The 2016 growing season is well underway

It's very encouraging to see some new faces up at the field.  All have commented on what a great place it is to come and do something a bit different.

Planting crops is progressing well, and the next big job will be to dig pits for the courgettes.  Maybe the Burly Men can come up for another workout at the field - many strong men make light work!

But it's not only humans who enjoy the space up Brae Street.  Our Oystercatchers are again nesting on one of our newly-ploughed plots. Let's wish them continued success as they bring up another brood of chicks.

So, if you're at a loose end any Saturday morining, take a stroll up to the field and see what's going on.
